Commissioned with Love (and Sequins)
Most of our jackets are made on commission — a customer or friend sends in their own denim jacket, ready to be transformed in time for festival season. Sometimes they come with a vision: a specific colour palette, a back patch, or certain themes they want to include. That’s never a problem.
But often, it’s best when total creative license is handed over to Camilla. That’s when the magic really happens.
Where It All Begins
Each jacket starts with hours of curating: sourcing the right patches, trims, colours, motifs, and textures. The creative journey usually starts by selecting the perfect centre-back patch — once that’s chosen, the rest of the jacket takes shape around it.
When full artistic freedom is given, anything can happen — wild colour clashes, unexpected themes, playful characters, surreal sparkle. We always encourage customers to trust the process!
The Making Process
Once the design is mapped out, materials are sourced from our trusted suppliers across the UK and EU (with only a few special embellishments arriving from further afield). Then the hands-on creation begins:
- Tassel trims, pom poms, and sequin runs go on first, stitched with Camilla’s heavy-duty domestic machines.
- Then come the patches, carefully positioned and fixed using a combo of heat, adhesives, and reinforced machine stitching.
- Custom festival name patches are created next — these are cleverly designed to be removable and swappable, so you can match your jacket to the festival you're heading to.
- Adding lettering often costs a needle or two (thanks to tough adhesives), and requires hand-cranking the machine for precision.
- Finally, each sleeve is finished with a clash of long-arm tassels, sewn by hand — the most time-consuming part, and also the most fun.
More Than Just a Jacket
Every jacket is made to hold your own collection of festival wristbands — turning something sentimental into a bold, wearable keepsake. It’s not just about looking great (though you absolutely will) — it’s about carrying your memories with you, wherever the music takes you.
Need a Refresh? We’ve Got You.
We know how much these jackets get loved — worn in all weather, danced in all night. That’s why we offer a refurbishment service for well-worn jackets. We’ll replace tired sequins, refresh trims, and add your latest wristbands — all we ask is that your jacket is hand-washed first before returning.
We also offer custom festival patches to add to your collection — easy to swap in and out depending on where you’re headed next.
The Tools of the Trade
Each jacket takes around 4–5 hours to complete, involving a mix of machine sewing, hand-cranking, and intricate hand-stitching. We use:
- Singer & Janome sewing machines
- Schmetz & Organ needles
- Gutermann threads and adhesives
All are trusted, high-quality brands chosen to withstand the beating these jackets take in the wild.
Feel the Love in the Fields
Every jacket is stitched with joy, chaos, love and music in mind — because we know that when you’re out there under the lights, in the mud, in the glitter, you want to feel as good as you look.
Festival Jackets aren’t just fashion — they’re memories you can wear.
