The Origin Story
Festival Jackets began in 2022, when our creator Camilla was deep in the prep chaos for Glastonbury. Her own festival wardrobe was packed: sequin dresses, bold skirts, glittery leggings — a different look for every day. But when it came to her husband and their guy friends? The options were a little… underwhelming.
Camilla wanted to create something just as fun and expressive for them — something colourful, wild, and personal. At the same time, she was staring at a drawer overflowing with old festival wristbands. Too sentimental to throw away, but collecting dust all the same.
So she had an idea.
With a plain denim jacket in hand and her sewing kit at the ready, she began stitching — by hand and machine — pom poms, tassels, and embroidered letters spelling out GLASTO. Inspired by a festival-goer she’d seen the year before — proudly wearing every wristband they’d ever collected on a single bucket hat — Camilla decided to sew wristbands directly onto the jackets. A wearable tribute to festivals past.
And just like that, Festival Jackets was born.
From DIY to Full Sparkle Mode
The first jackets were relatively simple. No huge back patches, minimal sparkle — just thoughtful, handmade details and a lot of heart. But neither Camilla nor her husband Paul were prepared for the reaction.
Compliments rolled in from strangers. “Where did you get that?” “Can I buy one?” “That’s amazing!”
It didn’t take long before Camilla was given full creative license to go all-out: sequins, glitter, custom patches, fringe, fluff, embroidery — the works.
Since then, Festival Jackets have grown into a full-blown passion project. Each year, more jackets pour out of her craft room — every single one unique, hand-decorated, and festival-ready. By Wilderness 2025, 20 custom jackets were spotted on-site, each one catching eyes and sparking conversations.
Now You Can Get One Too
After years of being stopped in the fields and flooded with “Where can I get that?!” DMs, we’ve officially launched the Festival Jackets Store.
